Final Information Days for the “Partnership” Fund: Strong Participation, New Collaborations, and a Look Ahead

02 June 2025

In May, the “Partnership” Fund, part of the PACT project, was presented to representatives of civil society organisations and community centres in Plovdiv, Pleven, and Sofia. In each city, we met active and inspired participants who shared their ideas, asked questions, and looked for opportunities to collaborate in the future.

During the meetings, participants received detailed information about the fund’s objectives, eligible activities, requirements, and selection criteria. The strong interest, concrete questions, and shared ideas highlighted the real engagement of the civic sector in Bulgaria and its need for support.

Each event also featured a presentation by the European Citizen Action Service (ECAS), focused on European values and institutions. This session offered participants an initial framework for designing successful initiatives.

The event in Sofia marked the final and most interactive part of the series. Participants joined a special working session organised by the Foundation “Workshop for Civic Initiatives” (WCIF), where they presented their organisations, formed thematic groups based on shared interests, and began laying the groundwork for future partnerships.

The conclusion of the information days marks the beginning of a new phase in the Fund’s activities.
In June, a series of online webinars will take place, exploring in more depth key topics that will support applicants in developing their proposals.
