As European Democracy Project Coordinator Nicolò Triacca’s main responsibilities are:
– Managing ECAS’s Digital Democracy initiatives
– Conducting research, mapping and collection of relevant data on digital democracy
– Collaborating with civil society organisations in advocacy, research and policy documents
– Organising online and offline events (i.e. webinars, conferences, seminars etc.)
– Contributing to research and development in innovative digital trends for democracy, civic technology, and inclusive digital transformation.
Before joining ECAS, Nicolò worked for more than 10 years in the Italian civil society sector, with a focus on youth participation and volunteering. He consulted for several Italian volunteer support centres, schools and municipalities. He ran the Brussels office of CSVnet – Italian Network of Volunteers Support Center for 6 years. He worked as a project evaluator for public and private bodies.
He holds a Master’s degree in philosophy (University of Torino).
